The Walkers Union, Akkaraipattu the first of this nature in the region held its Annual Walking Competition - 2021 under theme ‘Let’s do physical exercise and maintain good healthy life’ during the weekend. Akkaraipattu Walkers Union President M.H.Jainudeen organized the programme while Akkaraipattu Municipality Mayor Athaullah Ahamed Zackie was the chief guest. The competitions began with the hosting of the National Flag by Mayor Athaullah Ahamed Zackie in the presence of Akkaraipattu Divisional Secretary M.S.M.Razzan at the Water Park premises, Akkaraipattu.
The highlights of the competitions were walking competition for senior citizen and ladies. The senior citizens thank the Walkers Union for giving them an opportunity of such ana exciting event. Winners were awarded certificates and cash prize by the Guests at the event.
Winners of the Senior category -
1st place – P.T.Alawdeen. 2nd place – H.L.A.Kuthoos. 3rd place – M.I.M.Marzook.
