Trinity-Sebs clash should be a thriller

Abhishek Anandakumar (Trinity Captain) and Sukitha Prasanna (St. Sebastian’s Captain)

Trinity College will take on St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa in their Inter-Schools Under-19 Division One Tier ‘A’ Limited Over Cricket Tournament quarter-final fixture at the Royal College Grounds in Reid Avenue today.

This game should turn out to be a keen tussle as both teams are equally good in both departments.

Even then, the Trintians should have the edge because of their superior bowling and batting line-ups.

However, St. Sebastian’s also possess a strong batting line-up and a bowling attack.

Trinity with an all-round side have improved tremendously and are capable of producing something extraordinary.

Skipper Abhishek Anandakumar has already proved himself both as a captain and player, and much will be expected from Shane Gunatillake, Umari Raizan, Matheesha Pathirana, Deemantha Bandara, Akram Muthalib, Ranuda Somarathne, Thevin Amarasinghe, Pasan Kularathne, Pasan Ganegoda and Pawan Pathiraja.

St. Sebastian’s have also made steady progress with a good display and much will be expected from players like Savindu Rodrigo, Bihanga Mendis, Sukitha Prasanna, Kushan Herath, Chrishane Perera, Bihanga Mendis Yashan Avishka and Malinda Perera.
