Mahinda College Cricket Captain Navod Paranavithana was felicitated by his school for being adjudged Observer SLT Mobitel Schoolboy Cricketer of the year, the National Best All Rounder and the National Best Batsman at the 42nd Observer Mobitel School Cricket awards ceremony.
Paranavithana is the first Mahindian to receive this award. Mahinda College Old boys and present boys and College staff organized this felicitation ceremony which was held last Thursday under health regulations.
Paranavithana’s parents , Old boys , present boys and college staff participated on this occasion .Paranavithana is the leading all rounder of the school cricket arena this season and under his leadership Mahinda College under 19 team has already qualified to play division one. Tier ‘B’ final against Devapathiraja scheduled to be played on May 2 at NCC grounds.
