Kapilasena bags U-12 Tennis Title

Saha Kapilasena clinched the Boys’ Under-12 Singles title at the Hutch-HNB Clay Court Tennis Nationals, which continued at the SLTA Courts in Green Path yesterday.

Kapilasena rallied around well and went on to beat his opponent Sasen Premaratne in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 in the final encounter.

The results (All finals):

Mixed Doubles: Anika Seneviratne and Dineshkanthan Thangaraja beat Sanka Athukorala and Neyara Weerawansa 7-5, 6-4.

Men’s Doubles: Sanka Athukorala and Yasitha De Silva beat Rajeew Rajapaksa and Renuk Wijemanne 6-4, 6-0.

Boys’ Singles Under-12: Saha Kapilasena beat Sasen Premaratne 6-3, 6-1. (C.D)
