Army Cricket Club edged-out Saracens SC by one run in a thrilling SLC Twenty20 Cricket Tournament match played at the Colts Grounds in Havelock Park yesterday.
Army CC were restricted to 105 for eight in their 20 overs but fought back magnificen tly through their bowlers to contain their opponents to 104 for nine.
With this win, Army CC finished on top of Group ‘D’ and secured their place in the quarterfinals along with Tamil Union.
Meanwhile, CCC came on top of Group ‘A’ after they beat the BRC by seven wickets in their encounter played at Katunayake.

Sadeera Samarawickrema scored 93 for Tamil Union.

BRC were restricted to 111 for seven in 19.2 overs and the CCC cruised to their target convincingly in 11.4 overs.
