The International Cricket Council (ICC) has assigned its panel to officiate at the upcoming two match Test series between Sri Lanka and England scheduled to commence from January 14 at Galle International Cricket Stadium, played for the ICC Test Championship.
Due to the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic worldwide, the ICC has decided to utilize the services of the local umpires and the match referees, who are accredited to their panel from Sri Lanka.
Kumar Dharmasena the ICC Elite panel member, who will be standing his 66th match will be the on field umpire along with Ruchira Palliyaguruge, one of the International Panel Umpire of the ICC. Lyndon Hannibal will officiate as the Television umpire with Ravindra Wimalsiri as the fourth umpire while Prageeth Rambukwella will serve as the standby umpire. All of them are from the ICC International panel umpires.
Meanwhile, Ranjan Madugalle has been appointed as the Match Referee with Graeme Labrooy remaining as standby with him.
