KDCA to call for ExCo meeting on Friday

Cricket, which is played all year in the central hills has come to a standstill due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Kandy District Cricket Association secretary Janaka Pathirana said that he will call all ex-committee members for a meeting on Friday to discuss about the future of cricket in Kandy to find a way through the disruption caused by the virus. Originally the season was meant to start in April with the inter-club six-a-side followed by the one- day knockout and the inter-club eleven-a-side tournaments. All these have been pushed back due to the prevailing situation. These tournaments are likely to be affected in case there is no cricket is played.
