Two held for smuggling foreign cigarettes

Sri Lanka Customs arrested two locals smuggling 123 cartons of foreign cigarettes from Dubai, yesterday.

The suspects, both aged 20, are residents of Angoda. They had arrived in the country from Dubai via Muscat.

Furthermore, the stock of cigarettes they had at the time of the arrest is worth Rs.2.28 million. Investigations are continuing.
