Sri Lanka wins Plate final

Sri Lanka won the Plate final defeating Malaysia by 14 points (2 tries, 2 conversions) to 7 (1 try, 1 conversion) in the final of the Asia Rugby Sevens Qualifier for the 2020 Olympic at Incheon yesterday.

Sri Lanka were forced to play in the Plate final after they lost 24-17 to Philippines in the third quarterfinal of the Cup competition. Sri Lanka’s points came off 3 tries and 1 conversion and Philippines points through 4 tries and 2 conversions.
