Lyceum, Gampaha excel in table tennis

Lyceum International School, Gampaha came out with flying colours at the international schools team table tennis championships held recently. The youngsters of the Gampaha Lyceum School won the under 12, under 14 and under 16 boys team championships.

This is the first time that an international school clinched three boys table tennis team championships. The under 12 and under 14 matches were played at Gateway College Tables, Rajagiriya while the under 16 tournament matches were played at S Thomas College Indoor Sports Complex Mt. Lavinia Tables.

In a 2019 tournament participated by all the best international schools in the island Lyceum International School, Gampaha showed their prowess by winning all best player awards in three age groups. The school team was coached by former national table tennis player Lalith Perera.
