Super Star Sports Club, Thirukkovil emerged champions of the ‘Late Vairamuthu Paramanantham Memorial Trophy’ Football Tournament organized by the Thirukkovil Good Nick Sports Club when they beat the defending champions Real Amman Sports Club, Thirukkovil by 2:1 in the finals played at the Thirukkovil Good Nick Play Grounds recently.
Thirukkovil Good Nick Sports Club President A. S.Karthikesu successfully organized this tournament and more than 17 prominent football teams from the area participated in this competition.
Thirukkovil Super Star Sports Club foot ball team recorded a Thrilling victory over the Thirukkovil Real Amman Sports Club foot ball team by Two goals to One and crowned as overall champions in the tournament.
Champions Thirukkovil Super Star Sports Club Team won the ‘Late Vairamuthu Paramanantham Memorial Trophy’ and Real Amman Sports Club Team won the runner-up trophy.
TNA Parliamentarian Kavinthiran Kodiswaran was participated as the Chief Guest and Thirukkovil Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman R.W.Kamalarajan was participated as Guest of Honour.
Attorney-at-law K.Jegasuthan, prominent people of the community, Sports Club officials and Late Vairamuthu Paramanantham family members were all participated as the other guests and awarded the trophies to the winners.
