Mahanama champions

Mahanama College Colombo emerged champions of the ‘Singer Trophy’ Under 17 Division One inter-school cricket tournament yesterday.

They beat last year’s runner up St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa by three wickets in the final played at Thurstan ground.

Mahanama won the toss and elected to field first. St. Sebastian’s made 196 for nine in 50 overs. Skipper Sukitha Prasanna scored 67 runs in 117 balls with five boundaries.
