Boxing coaching camp in Kandy a success

The boxing coaches who attended the two-day coaching camp in Kandy with officials.

Over 50 boxing coaches took part in a two-day coaching camp organized by the Boxing Coaches Association of Sri Lanka (BCASL) in Linea gymnasium at Pallekelle, Kandy

“It was a success and we hope to conduct and Anti-Doping advance workshop during the first week of November,” said BCASL president Upali Bandara.

AIBA 3-star referee Rukman Wekadapola spoke on the competition rules and regulations, Kandy General Hospital Sports Science Medicine Doctor Upali Rambukwella spoke on physical fitness related to boxers, AIBA 2-star referee Susantha Weerasena covered subjects related to responsibility of coaches and techniques, while Dr Anura Arabage, senior lecturer at Peradeniya Hospital gave his insight on boxing related injuries and nutrition.
