Malinga to return home for funeral

Sri Lanka fast bowler Lasith Malinga will leave for Colombo at the end of the World Cup game against Bangladesh scheduled for Tuesday to attend the funeral of his mother-in-law who has passed away.

Malinga is expected to rejoin the team, before Sri Lanka’s next World Cup game, which will against Australia at the Oval on 15 June.

The remains of late Mrs. Kanthi Perera lie at the Barney Raymond Funeral home, Borella and the funeral will take place on Thursday 13 June at the Borella cemetery.
