Lasith Malinga to fly back home

Lasith Malinga will leave the Sri Lankan team following their World Cup Game against Bangladesh, which will be played in Bristol today, following the death of his mother-in-law.

Sri Lanka Cricket release announced: “ Malinga will leave the team following Sri Lanka’s World Cup game against Bangladesh, which will be played today, as his mother-in-law has passed away.”

Malinga will depart post the game in Bristol but is expected to return before Sri Lanka's next encounter against Australia on June 15.
