Champions Badur Boom Boys Sports Club

Badur Boom Boys (BBB) Sports Club, Akkaraipattu beat Young Star Sports Club, Akkaraipattu by 78 runs in the final to emerge champions and bagged the ‘Udayam Champion Trophy -2019’ of the limited 10 overs cricket match conducted by Alayadivembu Udayam Sports Club at the Tharmasangari Playgrounds, Alayadivembu recently.

Alayadivembu Udayam Sports Club President and Alayadivembu Pradeshiya Sabha Secretary R.Suresram organized the knockout tournament under the theme ‘Balanced Society through Sports’. Altogether 32 prominent sports clubs of the region took part in the tournament.

Akkaraipattu BBB Sports Club won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 140 in their allocated 10 overs. In reply Akkaraipattu Young Star Sports Club, scored 62 runs.

Man of the match was M.Nusky of BBB SC, Akkaraipattu while Man of the Series S.Noviragavan of the Akkaraipattu Young Star SC and awarded prizes.

Digamadulla District Parliamentarian Kavinthiran Kodeeswaran was participated as the chief guest at the award ceremony.

Alayadivembu Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman K.Perinparasa, Alayadivembu Pradeshiya sabha Member T.Kirojatharan, Sports Officer T.Risanthan, Alayadivembu Sri Murugam Temple President R.Jeganathan, Alayadivembu Thirunavukarasu Vidyalaya Principal C.Sures Sripansan, Udayam SC Secretary N.Thivakaran, Advisors Attorney-at-Law V.Prasanthan, S.Pradeephan and many others were participated as the special guests at the award ceremony.

Champions BBB SC were awarded Rs.20,000 cash prize and trophy by the guests and the runner up Young Star SC was awarded Rs.12,000.
