A splendid 100 runs by Pasindu Rajapaksha enabled Lyceum international School, Nugegoda to beat Lyceum International School Panadura by 52 runs in their inter-school annual big match played for the Nikitha Grero Challenge Trophy at the Colombo Oval. Now the tally stands at Nugegoda Lyceum Three and Panadura Lyceum one.
Pasindu hit ten fours and two sixes and occupied the crease for 140 mintues and faced 92 balls. Batting first Nugegoda Lyceum Scored 267 runs and in reply Panadura Lyceum were 215 fro 8 with Yesith Kalupahana scoring 63 runs.
The best Batsman, best bowler’s awards were carried away by Pasindu Rajapaksha and Lakindu Sachin of Lyceum Nugegoda respectively. While the best fielders prize was won by Isuru Perera and Man of the Match award was carried away by Pasindu Rajapaksha of Lyceum Nugegoda.
