The Annual Inter-House Athletic Meet of Wadduwa Central (Primary school) was held at the College premiss under the instructions of its principal Ranasinghe Indrasena recently.
Thilak De Silva, the Divisional Director of Education in Panadura was the chief guest and the guest of honour was the former Health Minister of Western Province and the Current WP councillor Jagath Angage Several school principals from neighbouring schools in the Panadura Division were in attendance at the event. Vijaya House collected 880 points and were the overall sports champions and the runner-up cup was won by Tissa House with 700 points. Gemunu House with 625 points was placed third.
Maharoo Pramuditha of Tissa House and M.A. Rochana Diwyanjali of Vijaya House were adjudged the best athlete(Boys) and best athlete (Girls)
Cups, medals, certificates and prizes for winners and victorious houses were given away by the guest of honour Jagath Angage, and the WP Councillor Nandana Pathmakumara, with the participation of the principal Ranasinghe Indrasena and Panadura Divisional Director of Education Thilak de Silva, at the awards ceremony.
