2016 winner Zaeem Sheriff from Classic Travel regained the Travel Trade Sports Club (TTSC) Pool Championship 2018 title with a classical win over, 2017 ‘Bowl’ runner up, the vastly improved Ackiel Jameel from Amadeus Lanka in the ‘Cup’ Championship final at the 05th edition of the tournament completed at the ‘Q N’ Brave Pool Palour, Wellawatte recently.
A record number of 49 players from 18 TTSC member firms participated vying for the ‘Cup’, ‘Plate’, ‘Bowl’ and ‘Shield’ Championships.

Ackiel Jameel (Amadeus Lanka) beat Akila Nuwanga (2017 Cup winner from Infinity Vacations), Rimzan Hameed (2014 winner from Classic Travel ) beat Rasheem Mendis (Butterflies Vacations), Lakshan Samarasinghe (Anantara Kalutara) beat Shervonne Herath (Infinity Vacations), Zaeem Sheriff (2016 ‘Cup’ winner) beat DN de Silva (Eden Resort & Spa).
The losing quarter finalist moved on to the ‘bowl’ and ‘Shield’.
Rasheem Mendis (Butterflies Vacations) beat Akila Nuwanga (Infility Vacations), Shervonne Herath (Infinity Vacations) beat DN de Silva (Eden Resort & Spa).
‘Shield’ final for 7 and 8 places (best of three frames): Akila Nuwanga (Infinity Vacations) beat DN de Silva (Eden Resort & Spa).
‘Bowl’ final for 5 and 6 places (best of 03 frames): Rasheem Mendis (Butterflies Vacations) beat Shervonne Herath (Infinity Vacations).
‘Cup’ and ‘Plate’ – semi finals /best of 03 frames. Ackiel Jameel (Amadeus Lanka) beat Rimzan Hameed (Classic Travel), Zaeem Sheriff (Classic Travel) beat Lakshan Samarasinghe (Anantara Kalutara).
‘Plate’ final for 3 and 4 places (best of 03 frames): Lakshan Samarasinghe (Anantara) beat Rimzan Hameed (Classic Travel).
‘Cup’ final (best of 05 frames) Zaeem Sheriff (Classic Travel) beat Ackiel Jameel (Amadeus Lanka).
Awards were presented by Bonita Odayar (President), Dilshan Gnanapragasam (General Secretary) and Nilina Pathirana (Tournament Co-ordinator), all from TTSC.
