Joes overall champs at Sir John Tarbet Junior Athletics

St. Joseph’s college, Colombo 10 emerged overall champions of the 48th Sir John Tarbet Junior Athletic Championship 2017.

Josephian Naveen Marasinghe established a new meet record in under-14 shot-putt event with a distance of 14.74m while the Josephian relay team comprising Shehan Fernando, Enuka Arachchi, Sithijaya Perera and Teran Karunanayaka set up a new meet record in 4x100m relay. St. Joseph’s became overall runner-up in 2016 and it was after a 13-year laps they have clinched the overall champion title this year.
