Eighteen-year-old Prabuddha Premalal is a talented cricketer having represented Ibbagamuwa Central College with distinction. The right-hand opening batsman started his First XI career in 2017 playing in the Division Three Tournament and scored over 1,000 runs during the 2019/20 Inter-School season.
He scored a double hundred, two centuries and seven half-centuries and won the award for the Best Batsman in the Division Three Tournament. He also became the runner-up in the Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer contest in the Division Three Tournament in 109/20 season.
Prabuddha accumulated 339 runs in six innings in the 2020/21 season inclusive of one century and one fifty and had an average of 126. He also represented Team Dambulla in the 2021 National Youth League and was coached by Dilip Chandrasekera and Prasanna Karunawansha.
