Royal, Mahanama, Richmond dominate U-19 Cricket Tourney

Royal, Mahanama and Richmond are on top of their respective groups in the Tier ‘A’ Under-19 Inter-Schools Cricket Tournament after the completion of matches on March 30.

Royal the Group ‘X’ leaders won all three matches with two bonus points and obtained 14 points while Trinity (9) and Wesley (8) are placed second and third respectively.

In Group ‘Y‘, Mahanama recorded three bonus points victories to come on top with 15 points while St. Sebastian’s, Moratuwa (9) and St. Thomas’, Matara (8) are in second and third places respectively.

Richmond who won all three matches with 12 points are on top of Group ‘Z’ while St. Anthony’s, Kandy and Nalanda, Colombo are in second and third place respectively.

Meanwhile, in the Under-19 Tier ‘B’ tournament St. Peter’s, Bambalapitiya, Isipatana and St. Anthony’s, Wattala are on top with an unbeaten record after three matches.

The quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final will be worked off on April 20, 25, and 30 respectively.
