ICC World cup 2019 : Qualification Scenarios

Sri Lanka's victory over England in the World Cup have now made the race for the semi-finals even more interesting.

New Zealand are perched at the top with 5 wins from 6 matches. Along with India, they are the only team to not lose even a single match, thus far, in the tournament.

Australia are second-placed with 5 wins from 6 matches. Their only defeat came against India at The Oval.

With 4 wins from 5 matches (and one washout), India are a couple of wins away from securing a semi-final spot.

The three teams are more likely to qualify for the semi-finals, but they all have to compete against each other. England, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan will qualify for the semi-finals based on the results of the next three matches.
