Brilliant century by Akmitha

A brilliant 125 runs by Seneth Akmitha helped St. Johns College Nugegoda to beat Dharmapala Vidyalaya Kottawa by 156 runs on first innings in their inter school under 15 division one tournament cricket match played at Piliyandala.

Seneth hit twelve fours and eight sixes and occupied the crease for 112 minutes and faced 98 balls also he was engaged in a third wicket partnership of 161 runs with Sadith Nethmina who contributed 37 runs.

Batting first Kottawa palians were bundled out for a paltry 72 runs with Sadeesh Nethmina capturing 5 for 28 and Nugegoda Johnians delcared at 228 and 5 in their second essay At stumps Kottawa lads were 145 for 9 with Thenuka Praveen scoring 67 runs and Lochana Rukshan and a fine spell of 5 for 12 runs.
