A brilliant unbeaten 139 runs by Hirun Kapurubandara enabled Asoka Vidyalaya Colombo to beat Presidents College Maharagama by 73 runs on first innings in their inter school under 13 division one tournament cricket match worked off at Piliyandala.
Hirun had twenty two hits to the ropes and two over it and faced 121 balls and occupied the crease for 121 minutes. Also he along with Sadeeptha Perera put on a 68 runs valuable eighth wicket partnership and Sadeeptha contributed 13 runs.
Batting first Presidents College scored 143 runs with Ruchith Hansana making the top score of 71 runs and in reply at the close Asoka Vidyalaya made 216 runs.
