Royal win by two wickets

Royal College Colombo beat Anuradhapura Central by two wickets in their inter school under 17 division one second round tournament cricket match played at Anuradhapura.

Batting first homesters were all out for 128 runs with Gishan Balasuriya claiming 3 for 3 runs and in reply visitors were 131 for 8 with Kavishka Heshan unbeaten on 61 runs.

Anuradhapura Central 128 in 39.3 overs (Ashan Kavindu 32, Janith Samuditha 20, Sonal Amarasekera 2/25, Gishan Balasuriya 3/3, Kavishka Heshan 2/42, Abdulla Khalidh 2/21.

Royal College 131/8 in 43.2 overs.

Drawn match

In another game in the under 15 division one Royal College drew with Tissa Central which was worked of at Kalutara. Batting first visitors scored 238 for 8 with Dasis Manchanayake and Kanika Dayarathne scoring 70 and54 runs respectively. At the done homesters were reeling at 58 for 8.

In another game in the under 15 division three cricket match Royal Institute held St. Peters College, Bambalapitya to a no decision at Colombo. Batting first Royal Institute scored 193 runs with Adithya Hettiarachchi missing well deserved century by five runs and Rithil Surweera had a superb spell of 6 for 49 and at the close Peterites wee 155 for 5.

St. Peter’s College 155/5 54 overs (Vikum Galahityawa 42, Dinuth Abeywiardene 22, Jude Dinal 23, Rakindu Lekamage 2/6).
