Kanishka and Dinuja pilot Ananda to victory

Two superb knocks by Kanishka Ranthilakage (115) and Dinuja Wijebandara (119) enabled Ananda College, Colombo to defeat Piliyandala Central College handsomely by 151 runs in their inter school under 17 division one second round tournament cricket match worked off at Colombo.

Batting first Anandians totalled 375 for 5 and in reply Centralians were all out for 224 runs with Chamod Sandaru making the top score of 489 runs and Janidu Jayaawardene captured 4 for 38 for Anandians.

Ananda College 375/5 in 50 overs (Dinuja Wijebandara 119, Kansihka Rantillakage 115, Senara Kuduagama 30, Dasun Tharaka 34 n/o, Shashika Umayanga 33, Jaindu Jayawardene 22 n/o, Rudira Adikaria 3/79.

Piliyandala Central 224 in 43.4 overs (Chamod Sandaru 49, Hesara Dilikith 31, Sasantka Lakshan 28, Sanduru Sathsara 23, Janidu Jayawardene 4.38, Kanishka Rantillakage 2.3, Ruchira Shiru Bandara 2/60).
