The Tug-of-War Championship for Susitha Trophy 2018 organised by Susitha Sports Club, Ganemulla along with Sri Lanka Tug-of-War Association will be held on March 3 at Wasana Grounds, Ganemulla.
This event will be the biggest Tug-of-War Championship in the country because 28 teams took part in the last edition with over 6,000 fans. The organisers are expecting 40 teams and around 10,000 spectators will be witnessing this years event.
The championship will be held under the guidance of Sri Lanka Tug-of-War Association and international rules. The tug-of-war has been included in the National Sports Festival on a concept of Sports Minister and it will be held annually.
