Palamunai Tri Star SC team representing Ampara District beat Trincomalee district team by five runs in the final to emerge men's champions while Batticaloa district team clinched the women's title beating Trincomalee district team in the final as the Eastern Province elle tournament concluded at the Addalaichenai Ashraff Memorial grounds recently. The tournament was organized by the Eastern Province Sports Department Director N. Mmanivannan while Ampara, Batticaloa and Trincomalee district teams took part in this competition. Addalaichenai Assistant Divisional Secretary T.J. Athisayaraj and Sports officers were also present at this event.
