MCA to start 2022 season in style

Weather will hold the key, as MCA gets cracking on their 2022 season, simultaneously commencing two of their divisions – the MCA ‘D’ division 40-Over League Tournament and ‘E’ division 30-Over League Tournament, this week-end, 27 and 28 November 2021.

The ‘D’ division has attracted 10 teams, which are pooled in to 02 groups, as follows:

Teams playing Group ‘A’ are : AIA Insurance, Airport & Aviation Services, Nawaloka Hospitals, National Development Bank and Ansell Lanka.

Teams playing Group ‘B’ are : Delmage Group, Melwire Rolling, David Pieris Group of Companies ’A’, Hemas Holdings and Allianz Insurance. The league stage consisting 20 matches will take place from November 27 to January 09, 2022; the knock-out stage, consisting seven matches are scheduled for January 15 (Q. Finals), January 22 (S. Finals) and the final on January 29 at MCA.

The ‘E’ division has attracted 20 teams, which are pooled into thre groups, as follows: Teams playing in group ‘A’ : Commercial Leasing & Finance, SLT Mobitel, Ceylinco Insurance, 3DH International, Fairfirst Insurance and Amana Takaful.

Teams playing in group ‘B’ : LOLC, Hirdaramani Group, Stafford Motors, Commercial Credit, Trellerborg Lanka, Union Assurance and Expolanka Holdings.

Teams playing group ‘C’ : Brandix Essentials, HSBC, Janashakthi Insurance, John Keells Group ‘B’, Virtusa, MBSL Insurance and Softlogic Finance. The league stage consisting 57 matches will take place from November 27 to January 9, 2022; the knock-out stage consisting seven matches are scheduled for January 29 (Q. Finals), February 5 (S. Finals) and the Final on February 13 at MCA.
