SL to play Syria in AFC Qualifiers today

Sri Lanka will meet Syria in their AFC Under-23 Asia Cup Qualifying Round Group ‘A’ match in Doha, Qatar today.

Sri Lanka are led by Sasanga Dilhara of Defenders FC with Asela Madushan (Sea Hawks FC) as his deputy. Yemen and Qatar are the other two teams competing in Group ‘A’.

Sri Lanka are ranked 43rd out of 45 countries in the AFC Rankings while Qatar (3), Syria (12) and Yemen (30) are among the top contenders for the title.

In the other matches, Sri Lanka will face Qatar on October 28 and will meet Yemen on October 31.
