Scotland qualify for Super 12 with easy win

Scotland ensured their place in the Super 12 of the ICC Twenty20 Cricket World Cup with a convincing eight-wicket victory over Oman in their Group ‘B’ last league match played at Al Amerat in Muscat yesterday.

After bundling out the home side for a modest 122 in 20 overs, Scotland powered their way to reach the target with eight wickets and three overs to spare.

Opener Kyle Coetzer set the tone for their run chase with a 28-ball 41 before Matthew Cross and Richie Berrington added the finishing touches with an unfinished third wicket stand of 48 runs.
