Bangladesh held India to a one-all draw to retain their hopes in the tournament further in the 13th SAFF Football Tournament played at the National Stadium yesterday.
After trailing 0-1 until the 74 minute of the game, Bangladeshi striker Y. Arafath found rival net with a spectacular goal to level the scoreS one-all.
It was the Indians who dominated play from the start and imposed inamours pressure on their rivals and in the 26 minute into the first half they were rewarded for their efforts. Striker Sunil chhtri booted the ball to break the deadlock after a cross pass from the right wing which he bisected the goal keeper to leave for short whistle 1-0.
After the turn around both teams fought hard in a bid to score more goals but the Bangali tigers were successful of finding the nets to force a draw.(AN)
