Afghanistan cruise to big win over Namibia

Mohammad Shahzad plays a shot

Afghanistan produced a strong batting performance to beat Namibia by 62 runs in their ICC Twenty20 Cricket World Cup Group Two match played at Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates yesterday.

Afghanistan’s top order came out firing from the start as they went on a scoring spree with Hazratullah Zazai, Mohammad Shahzad, Asghar Afghan and Mohammad Nabi making the bulk of the runs after they had elected to bat first.

In reply, Namibia struggled for runs throughout the innings and were restricted to 98 for nine from their 20 overs.
