Old Rathiyanz Cricket Club entered the finals of the Kandy District Cricket Association limited over cricket tournament by defeating Old Antonians S.C. by five wickets in the semi final played at St. Anthony’s College groundsKatugastota. Now they will meet the winners of the Kandy Youth C.C. vs. Saracens C.C., game on April 9in the final
The tournament was contested by 30 teams. In this semi-final Old Rathiyanz CC won the toss and elected to field first and the Old Antonians SC were able to score 164 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 39 overs. R. Kapukotuwa made an unbeaten 50 with four fours, D . Bandara made 49 with seven fours and one six. H.M. Bandara bowled well to take 6 for 16. In reply Old Rathiyanz C.C. made 167 for 5 in 35.overs K. Karunatilake was unbeaten on 81 with eight fours.
