Sri Lanka Captain Dimuth Karunaratne said that the ODI series defeat would make them even more determined to make an impact in the upcoming Test series against the West Indies.
Sri Lanka will begin their preparations for the Test series with a two-day practice match against the Cricket West Indies (CWI) President’s XI at the Coolidge Grounds in Antigua commencing today.
“The Tests will be a different ball game and the boys are shaping up well. We've done well in the last series against the West Indies and we're looking forward to those games,” Karunaratne said.
In fact this will be the only practice match for the Lankans before they take on the West Indies in the opening Test match commencing on Sunday (21) at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
