Lanka Cavaliers will fondly remember their team mate, late Jayalath Aponso, at a memorial Twenty20 cricket match against Vintage CC, on Saturday 27th March at the Kotalawela Defence University (KDU) grounds Ratmalana, at 10.00 am.
The Jayalath Aponso Memorial Challenge Trophy is donated by former Antonian and Colts CC cricketer, Angelo Leanage; who will also sponsor the match.
Lanka Cavaliers new President, CPP Raj together with Senior Committee Members, Manoj Perera, Nalliah Devarajan, Wasanthalal Fernando and Commodore Nishantha de Silva are making elaborate plans to make the event a memorable one.
The Lanka Cavaliers will be represented by ; Manoj Perera, (Capt) Riyaz Farouk, P.K. Abeygunasekera, Dumainda Pinto, Renuka Nonis, Ravi Subasinghe, Mahesh Wijenayake, Chaminda Rajapaksa, Carman Mapatuna, Brijesh Jeganathan, Sanjaya Attanayake, Susantha de Mel, Sampath Wickramarachchi, Shehan Abeygunasekera, Suranjith Dharmasena & Krishan Dharmasena.
Jayalath Aponso’ s widow, Devi Aponso will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.
