Trinity College cricket captain of 2002 and 2003 and Ryde Gold Medalist Clifford Fernando Senior Manager - Kandy Branch of the Union Bank came in as the new president of the Trinity College Cricket Foundation. He was elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which took place recently at the school hall., During his two years of captaincy he was a fine leader,and team work was the hallmark of Trinitys success. Clifford Fernando during his playing days was an elegant batsman who scored many runs and was also a useful medium paceman capable of breaking threatening partnerships.
Trinity College gives a big hand for school cricket, and is one of the oldest cricket playing schools in the country. Before the second world war they not only produced several top cricketers but also produced several invincible teams. This school provides all the facilities for the game of cricket.
They have indoor nets, bowling machine, and an international standard ground.
