Win Star Team of Akkaraipattu Base Hospital beat Tornado Team of the hospital in the final to emerge champions of the limited over’s cricket tournament conducted by the Akkaraipattu Base Hospital Welfare Society at the Zahira Vidyalaya playgrounds, Addalaichenai recently.
Annual Sports Festival of the Akkaraipattu Base Hospital organized by Hospital Welfare Society headed by its President Dr. A.C.Abdul Razzak.
It was held in two stages. The first stage of the festival, limited over cricket match among the hospital employees was held Zahira Vidyalaya play grounds, Addalaichenai. The second stage among the children of the hospital employees was held at hospital premises. Hospital employees participated into four teams. The final match was played between the Win Star team and Tornado team.
Tornado team, batted first and scored 71runs in their allocated 10 overs. In reply Win Star team reached the target for the loss of two wickets in six overs. M.Sahabdeen who represented the Win Star team was adjudged the man of the match.
The prize giving ceremony was presided over by Akkaraipattu Base Hospital Welfare Society President Dr. A.C.Abdul Razzak. The Visiting Physician (VP) Dr.S.Ahamed Fareed, Doctors, Nursing Officers, Medical Laboratory Technicians, other hospital staff and Welfare SocietyOfficials were present and awarded the trophy to winning team and players.
