The Addalaichenai New Star Youth Club team emerged champions of the tug-of-war tournament conducted by Addalaichenai Divisional Secretariat when they won against Addalaichenai Ashraff Youth Club team in the final at the Addalaichenai Al-Arham Vidyalaya Play Grounds recently.
The tug-of-war tournament was organised by the Addalaichenai Divisional Secretariat Youth Services Officer B.M.Riyath under the guidance and supervision of Addalaichenai Divisional Secretary J.Liyakath Ali successfully. This tournament was held as a part of Addalaichenai Inter divisional youth sports meet -2020 while several registered youth clubs teams from Addalaichenai DS division took part.
The Addalaichenai New Star youth Club and Addalaichenai Ashraff Youth Club tug-of-war teams qualified for the final.
The champion players at this competition will have to contest at Ampara District level competition shortly as they are the Addalaichenai Divisional Champion will be conducted by the National Youth Services Council.
