Work as a team to develop the game, urges Elle President Rodrigo

The newly appointed Elle Federation President Jayatissa Rodrigo said his first duty is to hold the National Elle Championship after making all arrangements to register the teams for the new National championship. He also said this time all the officials have to work as a team with the support of all affiliated clubs to develop the sport .

The President also pointed out constitution changes will be made according to the sports act while new umpires have to to be recruited to the Federation in a bid to develop the game . All new proposals are very vital to improve the standard .Actually the Federation has a big

responsibility to conduct the tournaments among the district Associations and provide financial support to do all activities and is hoping to get sponsors for the sport We have to do all this for the benefit of the players and develop the game added the new Elle President .Especially the Federation is looking to get a permanent place for their office and they are expected to discuss with new Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa their future plans to develop the game .

Meanwhile the new Secretary of the Elle Federation Priyantha Maddumage pointed out that the Federation members should get together to build up this sport. Their support is very important at this stage .According to the constitution Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa and State Minister Thenuka Vidhanagamage are in the consultant panel of the Federation while this time Lalith Piyum Perera the Chairman of the Lotteries Board is also included in the panel of the Executive Board said Maddumage . In addition Veteran Elle player and

referee Siripala Ranasinghe from Wakkaduwa Sri Weeragaimni SC who was also the Secretary of the Federation several times was appointed Games Consultant while Samson Nonis from Kimbulapiriya Nirmala SC was appointed Auditor for the Federation.

Following officials were appointed uncontested for the Elle Federation at the AGM lead at the Sumitra Hall Kadawatha .
