The Sri Lanka School Cricket Association (SLSCA) is formulating an online data system for both girls and boys school cricketers.
SLSCA has a 72-year history and the project is a brainchild of its present president, Nalanda College, Colombo principal Thilak Hethuhewa. The technical support is provided by the schools’ official data supplier batsman.com where fans around the world will be able to gather information.
The online data system will provide information on arround 30000 school cricketers ranging from under-13 to under-19. Bio data of school cricketers and cricket statistics will be available in the new system. Annualy around 700 under-13 teams, 600 under-15 teams, 300 under-17 teams and 300 under-19 teams represent the school cricket fraternity. The new system will be greatly helpful to selectors when forming traiining pools by providing updated statistics on cricketers and keeping them informed on all aspects of cricket statistics about school cricketers.
