The runner up Sunny Mount Sports Club, Kalmunai football team
The Olympic Sports Club, Maruthamunai football team recorded a massive 2:0 victory over the Sunny Mount Sports Club, Kalmunai football team and were crowned champions in the Kalmunai Divisional Secretariat inter-club football championship -2020 which was held at the Kalmunai Santhankeny United Public Play Grounds recently.
This tournament was organized by the Kalmuani Divisional Secretariat sports unit under the guidance of Acting Sports Officer M.H.M.Aswath under the supervision of Kalmunai Divisional Secretary M.M.Nazeer successfully.
The football tournament was held as a part of Kalmunai Divisional Sports festival-2020. Altogether 14 teams from the Kalmunai DS division took part in this competition.
The final match was presided over by the Kalmunai Divisional Secretariat Accountant Y.Habeebullah. Digamadulla District Parliamentarian H.M.M.Harees was the chief guest while Ampara Additional District Secretary A.M.Abdul Latheef and Kalmunai Divisional Secretariat Rural Development Officer M.I.M.Muharraf were present as guest of honour and special guest at the distribution of trophies and prizes to the winners.
Kalmunai Divisional Secretariat staff, Sports Clubs officials, players and well-wishers participated.
