Fairfirst Insurance beat Asia Capital by seven wickets

A devastating spell of bowling by right arm medium pace bowler, Chamika Gunasekera (03-09-05) and a quick fire 62 not out in 33 balls, inclusive of 05 sixes and 04 fours by Asel Sigera helped Fairfirst Insurance to register an impressive seven wickets win over Asia Capital in the ongoing 02nd Fairfirst Insurance Trophy – MCA ‘F’ division 25 Over League Tournament 2019, continued last week-end.

It was another rain affected week-end, with two games ending without a result and the majority of the other matches played with reduced overs.

The other noteworthy performances for the week-end came from: H. Uddika from Ansell Textiles (5 for 14 Vs. Regnis Appliances), Madushanka Ratnayake from Brandix Essentials (70 Vs. Technomedics), Isuru Amila from

Technomedics (79 Vs Brandix Essentials), Sachira Fernando from com. Credit ‘C’ (71 not out Vs Union Assurance), WD Perera from Janashakthi Life (71 Vs. Coutaulds Clothing).

Whilst , Fairfirst Insurance and Brandix Essentials scored their fourth win on the trot, Coutaulds Clothing won a double header.
