Bradby first leg on June 1st?

According reliable sources the most looked forward to 75th Bradby Shield games have been planned to be played on Saturday 1 June at Pallekelle and the second leg on Saturday 15 June in Colombo.

The Bradby Shield Committee and the SLSRFA are awaiting for clearance from the Education and Defence Ministries to go ahead with the matches on the scheduled dates.

Rest of the school second round matches too are expected to be kicked off from 1 June. The Ministry of Sports has recommended that Kandy school matches be played at Bogambara and Digana grounds.

Both grounds are at the moment in a bad state and there is a chance that players will suffer from injuries.

According to Kandy schools authorities only after schools reopens today a final decision will be taken.
