Sri Lanka to host four Int’l tennis tournaments from today

Sri Lanka Tennis Association will host four international tennis tournaments at SLTA courts from today to March 10.

The world Junior (Girls/boys-U14) tennis competition Asia/Oceania pre qualifiers will start today and will continue until March 2 at the SLT courts. Sri Lanka has already qualified for the finals of this tournament which is to be held in April.

The junior Davis Cup and Fed Cup tournaments will be conducted from March 2 to 9 at the SLT courts. Sri Lanka will field a strong team for the Davis Cup and hope to capitalize on home advantage.

Three-member teams from Bahrain, Bangladesh, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Philippine, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Turkmenistan, Cambodia and Kyrgystan will compete in the World Junior Girls/Boys tournaments.
