Chamod Sandaru a superb century

Fourth year coloursman Chamod Sandaru of PiliyandalA Central College became the first ever cricketer from either school to score two centuries in two successive big matches when he scored a splendid unbeaten chanceless 122 runs in their drawn 18th “Salpiti - Raigam,” Annual Encounter against their arch rivals Taxila Central College, Horana which was worked off at De Soysa Stadium, Moratuwa. Last year he scored an unbeaten 100 runs. Prior to the Big Match Chamod had 1019 runs under his belt and he brought his tally to 1131 runs.

Chamod hit 6 fours and 5 sixes and ocupied the crease for 223 minutes and faced 173 balls. Batting first Taxila scored 143 runs with Ushan Deemantha claiming 5 for 8 runs and in reply Centralians declared at 233 for 9 and at stumps Taxila were reeling at 92 for 6.
