Royal Colombo into final

Royal College Colombo entered to the final of the ‘Singer Trophy’ Under 13 division 1 inter schools cricket tournament yesterday.

Royal won on points against St. Peter’s College Bambalapitiya in the semi final played at Ananda Shashthrala ground.

St. Peter’s College Bambalapitiya won the toss and elected to bat. Peterites scored 191 runs for 9 wickets in 81.5 overs. Chamindu Perera scored 34 runs. Vishen Helambage (32), Salith Gallage (31) and Lashmika Perera (27) helped to build their innings. Ovina Ambanpola took 4 wickets for 39 runs and Nethwin Dharmarathne took 3 wickets for 47 runs.

Royal Colombo scored 95 runs for 3 wickets in 21 overs at close. Kevan Panapitiya scored unbeaten 40 runs and Sehath Perera scored 21 runs.

Royal earned 3.07 points and St. Peter’s earned 3.01 points in the match.
