26 wickets fall on first day at Moratuwa

In a low scoring schools under 19 tournament match played at Moratuwa yesterday where 26 wickets fell on the first day, S Thomas’ College Mt Lavinia gained a handy 120 runs overall lead over Moratu MV after being reduced to 30 for six wickets in their second innings.

Moratu MV were shot out for 57 in reply to the Thomians’ first innings of 147. The match continues today.

Moratu MV 57 in 31.1 overs (Nishan Madhushka 26, Dilmin Ratnayake 3/6, Dellon Peiris 3/2, Shannon Fernando 3/7)
