Mithun Perera wins RCGC Open after ‘sudden death’ playoff

A large group of spectators was treated to a rare ‘sudden death’ playoff at the 2018 RCGC Open when the two top contenders Mithun Perera and Anura Rohana tied at 277 at the end of the 72-hole, four-round tournament sponsored for the second successive year by Altair. K. Prabagaran, N. Thangaraja and Sachin De Silva made up the rest of the top 5, with scores of 285, 286 and 287 respectively in the stroke play tournament played over four days.
